The Nature of Quiet Moments
In the moment
Quiet moments rarely announce themselves.
They often appear as ordinary things.
A warm cup of tea,
a pause before responding to a message,
or a deeper breath.
These are our quiet, sacred moments.
Containers of peace.
Let’s face it.
We’re just busy humans.
Most of the time these moments get overlooked, because we are already thinking about the next thing to check off our mental to-do list.
What if you just took the time to notice?
What quiet moment has been asking for your attention?
Where in your life have you been moving too quickly?
Perhaps we might discover a few things about ourselves if we just allowed ourselves to become fully present in the moment.
A simple cup of tea once offered me an unexpected reminder.
The tea leaves floating at the top of my cup, appeared to be a small imperfection.
Soon became an invitation to pause.
Instead of following my urge to fix and correct, I allowed the moment to remain as it was.
What could be looked at as an insignificant moment, revealed to me a deeper message.
How often do we strain ourselves?
How much are we filtering our own lives?
Why are we not accepting the imperfections?
By design, many of us overthink, overwork, and overcorrect.
What if we simply allow ourselves to be present in the moment?
It could be possible to experience the peace we desire. If only we could stop asking the moment to be anything other than what it is.
Quiet Moments
Quiet moments have a nature of their own.
They are patient.
They wait.
They slowly reveal themselves.
Not forcing any transformation, but creating the space for transformation to happen.
Remember this:
Your story is sacred.
Your journey is sacred.
You are sacred.
Just be you.
Trust the moment.
Perhaps quiet moments are not interruptions, but where life is asking us to meet ourselves. It is in these moments where we remember what truly matters the most. When we allow ourselves to be present, we can listen more closely and honor the messages we receive. May you learn to recognize your own quiet moments when they arrive.
And may you trust yourself enough to know that…
you are enough.
